Stone walls doe not a prison make,                 Nor iron bars a cage; Mindes innocent and quiet take                 That for an hermitage; If I have freedome in my love,                 And in my soule am free, Angels alone that sore above                 Enjoy such liberty. To Althea, from Prison " is a poem written by the English poet  Richard Lovelace  in 1642. The poem is one of Lovelace's best-known works, and its final stanza's first line "Stone walls do not a prison make, Nor iron bars a cage" is often quoted. Lovelace wrote the poem while imprisoned in  Gatehouse Prison  adjoining  Westminster Abbey  due to his effort to have the  Clergy Act 1640  annulled. [ 1 ]

A day in the mountains… looking at waterfalls… In many ways it’s that symbol. I have been thinking about and talking about Dry Falls because I saw it on the map and I thought this might be a fun place to go so then I asked AI to map out an itinerary with the several waterfalls in that area and made a plan to take a day trip with Jennifer so if we went first, we went to Quarry Falls and then following the path down, we went to Dry Falls in the past bridal Vale Falls and ended up having lunch at a place called the ugly dog in Highlands now all that sounds pretty straightforward and simple, but I have to tell you that for me to be doing this with a person that I care so much about at this stage of my life is nothing short of a miracle and I feel it’s just kind of amazing because I got so excited about going down to see the waterfall and being able to walk behind it that Jennifer reacted, saying how cute that was and how happy that made her excited that get to watch me getting so exci...
Saint Jude’s Chapel Wonderful on many levels. Truly a spiritual experience.
Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results … I’m watching Apocalypse Now and all I see is horror. The absolute horror and insanity of war. Sometimes I talk about our instincts, our animal instincts but that is an insult to animals. Do animals kill members of their own species for fun, pleasure, revenge control, ego, advancement, and the exercise of power?Do animals invent killing machines to increase their kill power?  Today’s headline is Iran, US both claim to control strait of Hormuz. A month or two ago Trump invaded Hormuz Without congressional approval exercising his self claimed as our dictator we are now living in a dictatorship. Our democracy is on the ropes, but our life continues pretty much the way it always has filled with sports news TV and social media. Inflation is making everything cause twice as much but people like myself are still able to afford food and since we’re not being drafted into the military, the war is, you know not even a fr...
