Dear Jennifer Fox, Kelly Malenchak and Hospice Organization,

Thank you very much for your kind and thoughtful words. Hospice meant a great deal to me when they provided services for my mother in New Jersey and then again for my wife here in Hendersonville. What I learned in that process is that Hospice is here for life and for the living even though they come to us in the most vulnerable times while we are coping with loss. Each person we encountered showed us such personal as well as professional care. Now, being able to volunteer with hospice and to being able to to so with my little dog companion has opened my eyes to a whole different, supportive and comprehensive array of services that Hospice provides through it's volunteer programs. The experience has also deepened my understanding and appreciation for my little dog Zeke. He was certainly loved and cherished by Tess and I but to see how much comfort his warmth and presence can bring to other people has been so meaningful to me. Zeke is happy with anticipation when we arrive and as we enter the facility we stop and say hello to staff and residents alike giving each person a chance to pet Zeke and tell us about their dogs. It simply helps me appreciate him and what a precious gift life is even more.

This is every bit my honor and privilege to work with your agency. I must confess and assert that my contribution is very small compared to all the other work you're doing so I can only express my sincere thank you to all of you for being there, for making Four Seasons Hospice the family and community resource that it is and for allowing me to be part of it.
