Linda came to visit on April 15 so what did we do?

All right I picked her up at the airport and she was very very hungry and so the first thing we did was drive back to Hendersonville and go to Hendo and where they have great breakfast chicken and biscuits and she was real happy with that and then we went back to my house and were able to sit on the deck and enjoy our breakfast in the warm almost summer like weather. I think we might’ve taken a nap during the day but we went over to Jennifer‘s that evening and so Jennifer was able to meet Linda and they got along great and it was just a really nice first meeting.

The next day I took Linda to Hot Springs, which was the main thing on my agenda of something to do and we were able to go there and have a wonderful time because Jennifer offered to take care of Zeke and give us the whole day to ourselves and it was just really really nice. We were able to do that and amazingly enough. Linda found that a friend classmate of hers from back in close to New Jersey back and I guess the early 60s was there in Hot Springs. Linda walked up to a guy and said do you know this woman she found a picture of her online or whatever and he said well I don’t but that guy might and so she went over to that guy and asked him and Schorr enough he said yes I know where my wife is good friends with her and next thing And Linda is calling this woman and she’s dropping everything she’s doing and comes to meet us in Hot Springs before we went to the actual spring

On our way home from Hot Springs we stopped again for food this time in Marshall at the pizza place that Jennifer and I had gone to with the steep stairs and that was great but we got our pizza to go so we wouldn’t waste any more time and we got home and went straight to Jennifer‘s and shared the Pizza and Jennifer and Linda walked the labyrinth together and I believe this is when they really bonded. It was just a wonderful thing to see how they got to know each other by walking the labyrinth together, and they became best friends from my point of view, which was just kind of the greatest thing you could imagine. 

One of the next things we did was go out to lunch at minions and have Dava and Gail Jennifer sisters meet us there and you know both of them I think offered to pay for the meal but I paid for it. This is my treat that really the whole week to me is my treat if we were to go on any big-time vacation it cost thousands of hours it’s costing me a few hundred dollars to buy lunch or not lunch but all of the lunches and dinners so anyway, but this is something that Jennifer has been very very generous and trying to do and she actually did pick up the check at the last place we went to which I can’t think of the name of it, but it was in Lake Lure and at the back end of the lake it’s a restaurant I’ve noticed several times but we’ve never gone to it and it was great so that was our kind last outing was to go to her Batcave area and Lake Lure and Jennifer was able to tell her firsthand experiences you know living there in Batcave in Lake Lure and both of them were very very entertaining. We learn I mean Linda has so many stories and I learned so much about her just by hearing her tell these stories to Jennifer so what were the stories well, she was walking a dog, a Doberman pinscher a junkyard dog and you know she had offered to take him for a walk, cause she was sympathetic with the dog while she took him to the Englewood boat base and I think and she’s walking and walking the dog and this guy is coming towards her and she thought thought well he’ll you know he won’t he won’t do anything because she has this big Dara picture with her well apparently he gets right by her side and punches her in the arm and knocks her over well the dog didn’t even know what happened but Linda picked herself up and ran and got to the car safely. Well, I never knew that story but we talked so many about so many things we talked about when we were kids and when she had his boyfriend Bernie and you know, I took it upon myself to interfere with that, and she apparently then came to me at some point said Peter you know I’m grown-up now I don’t need you to act as my big brother but then when she told me the story about the guy punching her I said well maybe maybe you do anyway they were just stories back-and-forth and I’ll probably think of another one before I finish
