Dear Pete,
Thank you for your reply and for providing your shipping address.
I've submitted the replacement request to our RMA department. They will arrange the shipment within approximately 3 business days, and I'll share the tracking information with you as soon as it's available.
I also want to acknowledge your point about the external antenna — you were right that it was the logical fix, and I'm sorry it took us this long to bring it to you. I'm glad the second camera you set up is working in the meantime, and I hope the upgraded unit will let you rely on just the one inside the feeder, as the external antenna was specifically designed to improve signal stability within the metal enclosure.
And thank you for your kind words about customer service — that means a lot to us, and it's exactly what we strive for.
Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to make this right. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions in the meantime.
Warm regards,
Jennifer

Dear Jennifer,My girlfriend’s name is Jennifer which is a nice name so I’m inclined to provide the information you requested:

It’s interesting that you’ve changed the camera to have an external antenna which is the most logical solution to the poor reception issue. I suggested that fix in prior correspondence. In the meantime I mounted a different independent Birdfy camera that I had purchased with its own antenna aimed at the metal feeder and it works. I’m hoping that the new and improved camera that you send me will work from inside the metal feeder enclosure. Thank you for your efforts and best of luck to you and your company. In the long run, it’s customer service that really makes the difference.
Many thanks again,
Pete 🤓 and Zeke 🐶

Dear Pete,
This is Jennifer from Birdfy Customer Care. I hope this email finds you well.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the repeated Wi-Fi disconnections you experienced with your metal feeder. We understand how frustrating it is to be unable to watch your birds consistently, and we truly appreciate the effort you made to troubleshoot the issue on your own.
We have since released an upgraded version of the metal feeder cam, which features an external antenna for a much more stable and reliable connection. Please see the image below.

Again, we are sorry for the trouble, and thank you for giving us the opportunity to make it right.
Warm regards,
Jennifer
