Downtown Hendersonville is why we moved here and downtown Hendersonville, the shops and the people you meet, are why we stay. Thank you Miss Jennifer for turning the simple act of buying a pair of shoes into a meaningful and memorable experience. Hailing from New Zealand, Jennifer’s distinctive accent and personal charm turned  our shoe selection into a world of fun. My slip on Kiziks are instant comfort and style and my Jennifer’s choice of Merrel’s Encore Breeze are almost too nice to wear home. Thank you Mast General for being the cornerstone of downtown, having great products but even better people like Lance and Jennifer and everyone there who make you feel like home.

7/2022 Mast has it all. When you visit the mountains let alone come here to stay, Mast makes you feel at home. The staff is warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable as well. On numerous occasions I have been outfitted with hiking shoes and socks, pants, shirts and jackets and even a backpack or two. Need a map of the area? They’ve got it along with a personal story of their experiences at DuPont or Pisgah Forest. Whether you’re here for the day or here to stay, your mountain experience begins at Mast General Store.
